Ukrainian citizens must obtain their first internal passport in ID-card form after turning 14. The first ID card is issued free of charge, the application is made through the State Migration Service or another authorized passport service, and the current official processing deadline is up to 7 working days.
Eligible single mothers, single adoptive parents and, in certain cases, a mother or father whose child's other parent has died can apply for monthly state assistance through the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The amount is income-tested and calculated separately for each eligible child.
